about

Written in St.Leonards in 2005 One Voice just happened. Mick was tinkling his ivories and came up with a chord sequence and Nick wrote the lyrics then and there. An hour later it was finished. "It felt like it just arrived."

lyrics

One small voice from heaven
Whispers gently in my ear
Lets me in on secrets
Tells me things I want to hear
Tells me of life a million miles away
Across the ocean it’s greener there they say

One small voice that tells me
To live the life I choose
Says don’t waste a minute
With love you can never lose
Tells me the earth is turning under my feet
All life is sacred don’t leave it incomplete

I’d give my life just to see your face
I live and die in a different place
‘cause we are only dreaming
Make believe we’re only dreaming

One small voice that loves me
No matter what I do
A light to guide me
When I’m down and feeling blue
Holds my hand gently rocks me off to sleep
Dries my tears when it’s too much I start to weep

One small voice that tells me
Where to find true love
One voice that guides me
Through the smooth and then the rough
Tells me the truth no matter how much it hurts
Everybody needs someone to wash their shirts

I’d give my life just to see your face
I live and die in a different place
‘cause we are only dreaming
Make believe we’re only dreaming

It organically grew to a three piece with the addition of Mick Dorey (keys), Mark Wright (Guitar), and 'Dealing With Liquids' was recorded,
